Indian Fashion Designer honored by PETA

November, being the Vegan month, has been lucky for fashion designer – Sabyasachi, as his efforts towards cruelty-free contributions to the fashion world has fetched him a special recognition.

The jury members consisting of actor Jacqueline Fernandes, Fashion Design Council of India President Sunil Sethi and director of National Institute of Fashion Technology, P.K Gera honored the designer and gave him the title of Best Designer of Vegan Saris.

Day by day, the shoppers are increasingly becoming reluctant towards buying fashion wear with animal skin usage. These days, the shopkeepers are offering concern over the origins of products that they buy and therefore they lend their support only to those fashion-wear which uses pleather, faux silk, fake snake and other cruelty free fabrics.

From veteran designers to ever-increasing shopppers’ demands for animal free fashion wear, the fashion industry is revamping its overall look and feel in a healthy way.
